The inLine Minimal WordPress Theme
inLine is a gorgeous free minimal WordPress theme.
I am a minimalist nut. I keep my places organized, accounts in order, bills in check and keep everything clean. It’s just in my nature.
I also like minimal design, and the inLine theme is a product of that minimal nature within me. There is nothing fancy about inLine other than its simple and beautiful layout. Every part of this theme has been crafted delicately to ensure that the idea of “minimal” is riddled all the way through, from design to code.
I have put much thought, time, effort and ability into this minimal WordPress theme, so I encourage you to study it and use it. Is it perfect? By all means no, but I will continue to work towards that goal with the help of you, the WordPress community.
So go ahead, grab a copy of inLine from the WordPress theme repository today, and enjoy the beauty, functionality and minimalism of inLine!

Your default theme install comes with a “Home” menu item only, how do you assign custom menus and why don’t you list pages by default (which is the standard WordPress fallback)?
Custom menus can be assigned via WP 3.0 menus which are natively supported with the inLine theme. From the Dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus and you can then begin to create your new menus. Once your menu is created, you can then assign it a position (primary or secondary).
For some reason I decided not to list pages by default, but I can’t remember why I chose that way. I need to change that.
Hi Thomas,
I have a question about your template (which I quite like)…
I’ve installed your template after I used another one so the previous posts I wrote were copied. Now there’s something I don’t get. The images of some of the posts on the index page are small and other ones are (and stay?) thumbnails. I’ve looked around to see if I can set the size of the image (media/gallary/etc.) but I couldn’t find it. At least nothing changed….If you visit my site you will see what I mean. The top post has a small image, the previous one a large one.
Can you help me with this one?
Greets,
Nico
Hey Nico,
The thumbnails are set that size if you image is set as a featured image. If your image is not set as a featured image, then it will display as a large image, which is the case with your current site.
